Senate Bill 5502 targets a persistent problem in Seattle with unlicensed, uninsured and unregulated drivers who pick up passengers in shiny, late-model Lincoln Town Cars. These illegal drivers siphon business from companies that operate legitimate taxi and limousine services and endanger passengers by not following state regulations.
Vintage Popemobile Limousine Makes Rare Appearance on This Side of Atlantic
The landaulet-style 1965 Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman limo commissioned by the Vatican for Pope Paul VI, also known as the first Popemobile, will make a rare North American appearance soon at the Amelia Island Vintage Car Show on March 11, 2011. The show and auction are an annual event on this northern Florida island, and this year’s show promises to be extra special as this will be the first appearance in the United States for this unique limousine. The Popemobile is on loan from the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany, and it is seldom displayed in Europe, making this appearance quite unusual. This limo has been housed at the museum since it was decommissioned in 1985 after the latest Popemobile was built.
Lincoln Introduces New MKT Model to Entice Limousine Services

The new Lincoln MKT crossover is being marketed as a possible replacement for the popular Lincoln Town Car models that have been mainstays of limo services in San Francisco and throughout the country. Since it has just become available, it’s too early to tell whether or not limo services will vote for the MKT with their checkbooks. However, insiders say that the MKT could fill a niche and complement, rather than replace, the Town Cars found in most luxury ground transportation fleets.

Some employees at SunBridge Healthcare, a 60-bed nursing center that cares for adults with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders, granted 85-year-old Gladys Revels’ wish recently and made her day.
