“Green” Limo Service Ordered to Pay Tips to Chauffeurs
A court has ordered an environmentally friendly limo service based in Cambridge, MA to pay its chauffeurs $75,000 in a lawsuit settlement. PlanetTran, a limo rental service in the Boston area, apparently cared more about establishing its “green” credibility than it did about paying its drivers an entirely different kind of green, the tips the chauffeurs had earned by transporting the limo service’s guests.
Rent a Limo With Friends and Co-Workers This Holiday Party Season for Safe, Affordable Fun
While friends, families and employers are busy planning their upcoming holiday parties, you can do some planning of your own by renting a San Francisco limo to get you and yours from one party to the next. Everyone wants to have a good time at parties, but some of us tend to have too much fun and regret reaching for that last drink or two. You don’t have to rent a limo to get around during the holiday party season. There are plenty of cabs in the area. However, if you’ve ridden around in one recently, you know they are anything but comfortable and that cleanliness isn’t a priority. In addition, you can ride in a cramped, funky cab anytime. Since it’s the holidays, why not add some fun to the events? Why should you rent a limo from us this coming holiday season? Here are a few good reasons:
Japanese Limo Manufacturer Launches New Galue Limousine
Japanese limousine manufacturer Mitsuoka has just unveiled a new limo based on the Nissan Teana. This four-door limo has an unusual look and seems to borrow design elements from a wide range of other luxury automobiles. The grille strongly resembles a classic Rolls-Royce grille with its strong vertical lines and bold, slightly angled frame. The headlamp configuration also suggests the classic Rolls look with very similar shape and positioning. The rounded fenders evoke a larger, more generous version of Jaguar’s sensuous lines, and the sloped back and chrome highlights also suggest that designers borrowed liberally from both British luxury automakers.
Carjacker Steals Wedding Limo Taking Bridesmaids to Ceremony
A limousine carrying five bridesmaids to a wedding in Boston was carjacked recently, making a most unusual wedding story for the happy couple. The bridesmaids were riding in the back when the carjacker broke one of the limo’s windows, got into the front and threatened the chauffeur, causing the bridesmaids to flee from the vehicle. They ran to nearby Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta Church and arrived seconds before the ceremony was to begin.
Harvest Season Is Upon Us! Rent a Bay Area Limousine for a Day Trip to a Harvest Festival!
Bay Area residents are truly blessed to live in this part of the world. A day trip in nearly any direction allows us to speak with the people who farm, raise and create all this incredible food. Better still, October is the month when countless harvest festivals occur throughout California. In addition to great food, many feature live music, superb wines, art, crafts and some of the year’s best weather!

San Francisco Neighborhood Guide: Hayes Valley
Twenty or 30 years ago, few San Franciscans or visitors could have imagined that the Hayes Valley neighborhood would become one of the city’s best districts for shopping, dining and nightlife. Back then, the neighborhood’s nightlife was far less fun (and safe) than today’s, and it involved commercial pursuits that are traditionally non-taxable. Drugs, prostitution, tenement housing and all the predictable misery that comes with these problems defined Hayes Valley, and the neighborhood struggled for years.

San Francisco Neighborhood Guide: Deco Ghetto
If the name “Deco Ghetto” seems more off-putting than enticing, then this funky, weird and eclectic San Francisco neighborhood may surprise you. Deco Ghetto, also called the Hub and Mid-Market depending on your demographic and how long you’ve lived in San Francisco, is a part of the city very much in transition. What were once empty storefronts are now trendy cafes, bars, coffee shops and trendy shops selling all sorts of things. The neighborhood derives its name from the profusion of furniture stores in the area selling, you guessed it, Art Deco furniture. Drawn to the area by cheap rents and a new crop of homeowners seeking nouveau home furnishings without the nouveau sticker shock, furniture retailers here have thrived, and the new name evolved with the neighborhood.
