San Francisco Film Festival Season 2016
April in most cities around the United States means spring cleaning, celebrating Easter, and rainy days. And while there’s no shortage of any of those things in San Francisco, April in the Bay Area also means one other very important thing – Film Festival Season. April draws film enthusiasts from all corners of the Globe who come to witness one, or all, of the distinct film festivals that take place every spring. There truly is an app for everything, even finding the perfect place to eat in America’s largest food capital. We’re leaving out the big guys like Yelp, OpenTable, and Foursquare on this one – but that’s not to say reviews on these sites aren’t helpful.

Now celebrating its 10th anniversary as an event, the San Francisco International Chocolate Salon will yet again be taking place on March 5th, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Fort Mason Center. Salon organizers call it “The Original and Premier Artisan Chocolate Show on the West Coast.”

2016 March Bicycle Madness is About to Descend
Each year, Californians gather in massive numbers to take part in an event known as “March Bicycle Madness,” an annual fundraising event focused on providing underprivileged children with bicycle helmets for their safety. This year, the Madness descends on Davis, California from Tuesday, March 1st through Friday, April 1st.
Union Street Spring Celebration and Easter Parade
Called “the biggest little parade in San Francisco” with an average attendance of over 30,000 people, the annual Union Street Spring Celebration and Easter Parade are back for the season on March 27th, 2016. As its name suggests, the parade event runs down Union Street between Gough and Fillmore. This year’s Spring Celebration will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the parade beginning at the Gough end of its route at 2:00 p.m.
Veterans Business Workshop Series
As part of a local effort to provide U.S. Military veterans with career help and business advice, the Small Business Development Center will be hosting a 2016 Veterans Business Workshop Series at the Concord America’s Job Center. The workshop sessions will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, starting in March and ending in early April.
