Spring is on its way! Here in the Bay Area, we’re fortunate to enjoy a temperate climate year-round, yet we understand that spring is a symbol of new life, a time to celebrate the beautiful outdoors! Especially if you’re a transplant from another part of the country or even the world – perhaps one that suffers foot upon foot of dense, wet snow – you might have a particular fondness for April and May regardless of where you live now. One of our favorite ways to celebrate Spring is with a visit to the Berkeley Rose Garden in mid May.

April in most cities around the United States means spring cleaning, celebrating Easter, and rainy days. Indulge Cravings at the San Francisco International Chocolate Salon
Now celebrating its 10th anniversary as an event, the San Francisco International Chocolate Salon will yet again be taking place on March 5th, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Fort Mason Center. Salon organizers call it “The Original and Premier Artisan Chocolate Show on the West Coast.”

Union Street Spring Celebration and Easter Parade
Called “the biggest little parade in San Francisco” with an average attendance of over 30,000 people, the annual Union Street Spring Celebration and Easter Parade are back for the season on March 27th, 2016. As its name suggests, the parade event runs down Union Street between Gough and Fillmore. This year’s Spring Celebration will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the parade beginning at the Gough end of its route at 2:00 p.m.
The San Francisco Ballet’s Program 5: Dances at a Gathering & Swimmer 2016
Few outings are more sophisticated than an evening at the ballet, and if you’re seeking elegance meets spunk, you might consider the San Francisco Ballet’s Program 5, Dances at a Gathering and Swimmer. These internationally renowned performances will be showcased at the San Francisco Ballet venue, 301 Van Ness Avenue, from March 16th through March 22nd.
