Berkeley Rose Garden

By San Francisco Limousine Specialist on March 9, 2016

Spring is on its way! Here in the Bay Area, we’re fortunate to enjoy a temperate climate year-round, yet we understand that spring is a symbol of new life, a time to celebrate the beautiful outdoors! Especially if you’re a transplant from another part of the country or even the world – perhaps one that suffers foot upon foot of dense, wet snow – you might have a particular fondness for April and May regardless of where you live now. One of our favorite ways to celebrate Spring is with a visit to the Berkeley Rose Garden in mid May.

Located at 1200 Euclid Avenue, the garden features thousands of rose bushes in hundreds of varieties. And, of course, like many of the best Bay Area venues, the grounds include a stunning view of the Golden Gate Bridge. What better way to celebrate springtime in our beautiful Bay Area? And that’s not all. The Berkeley Rose Garden has a rich history; it was a 1930’s Work Progress Administration project. Learn more at the venue’s website.

Are you looking to propose? As a time-honored luxury transportation company, we’ve seen it all. A proposal within the Rose Garden would be beyond lovely. The garden offers a romantic atmosphere, and you can wait for that perfect moment. You won’t be interrupted by wait staff, which might happen during even the finest of dining experiences. Moreover, even if your significant other loves the Warriors, the 49ers, or a smaller, local sports team, those over-the-top Jumbotron proposals are all-too-public for many couples. After all, a marriage proposal is one of the most intimate experiences. It needs to be perfect.

Of course, roses aren’t all about romance. There’s much to be learned at the Berkeley Rose Garden! If you’re a bit of a botany buff, you might enjoy identifying the different climbers and bushes. Perhaps you’ll be taken by the elegance of the white Mme. Alfred Carrier, or maybe you’ll decide that the pink Baby Blanket ground cover are the best of the 250 varieties grown at the Berkeley Rose Garden.

The only parking available at the Berkeley Rose Garden is street parking. Enjoy your day. Won’t you allow NLS Limo the pleasure of driving you and yours to California’s loveliest rose garden? Please contact us at 800-339-8936 with questions or to place your reservation.
