It is very likely that you are familiar with the notion that the advent of spring means the blooming of the cherry blossoms in Washington DC. But did you know that San Francisco, itself a home to thousands of cherry trees, has the second largest festival in America celebrating the occasion of their blooming? It’s true! The Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival is considered to be one of the largest celebrations of cherry blossoms and Asian culture in the entire country, and it is the largest single event revolving around these things on the West coast.
Return of the Polk Street Spring Wine Walk
Since last spring, wine aficionados from San Francisco and the surrounding area have gathered together to enjoy the longer days, (slightly) warmer nights, and the love of wine. The Polk Street Spring Wine Walk, as it has come to be called, runs the entire length of Polk Street that lies between Post and Filbert Street, giving participants ample time and space to taste some of the best wines produced throughout California.

38th Annual San Rafael Holiday Parade & Winter Wonderland
San Rafael, one of the most charming towns within the Bay Area, will once again lure in revelers and merrymakers of all stripes for its annual Holiday Parade & Winter Wonderland! A month-long celebration of the holiday season, the Winter Wonderland itself lasts from the weekend of Thanksgiving until Christmas and features plenty of decorations, activities, shops, restaurants, and other delights that will satisfy even the most scrooge-like among us. The real fun, however, begins on November 24th, the day after Thanksgiving, when a parade and light show will kick off the Winter Wonderland.
San Francisco International Hip Hop Dance Festival
