Bay Area Springtime: Cherry Blossoms
Spring is in the air. How do we know? One of our favorite Bay Area signs of the season change is the blossoming cherry tree. Cherry trees are not only a reminder of springtime, but they are a symbol of our diverse community, as well, such as the Japanese American community. In Japanese Culture, the cherry blossom symbolizes humility and hope, and hundreds of thousands of visitors and residents gather together annually to celebrate them here in San Francisco. In fact, this year, 2016, marks the 49th year of an internationally renowned festival. April 9th through the 10th and the 16th through the 17th are the key dates.

The Bay Area is an especially unique experience as one of the event’s flagship locations.
