Lake County Events
Are you looking for some good outdoor events to go to in the Lake County area in the next couple months? Well we have a couple of events that just might make your list. Lake County houses some of our area’s best wineries, so expect these events to feature some of your favorite drinks. However, these events are appropriate for everybody in the family, get away from the city and out into nature.
2018 Sauvignon Blanc Experience, May 4-5
This event is a two day event. The first is for industry participants only. It’s the International Sauvignon Blanc Symposium. However, the second day is a Grand Tasting that is open to the public. This event is a great way for you to meet winemakers. You will also be able to participate in delectable food-wine pairings. If you’re a wine connoisseur, you owe it to yourself to not miss this event. Advanced order tickets before April 15th, is $45. After then, you’ll be paying $60. If you’re a last minute person, you’ll be paying $70 at the door.
Heron Days, April 28-29 and May 5-6
Heron Days is a beloved annual event in Lake County. It is a celebration of the species of birds found in Lake County. The event will be split between 2 weekends. The first weekend, the celebration will be held in Lakeside County Park in Kelseyville. The second weekend, will find participants at the Clear Lake Campground in Clear Lake. Each day of this event includes a 90-minute tour that is lead by Audubon experts who will teach you how to spot egrets, herons, osprey, and the various other birds of the area.
