Chinatown San Francisco
Have you visited the oldest and largest Chinatown in the U.S? Restaurants, historic streets and alleys, herbal shops, the Bank of Canton, and the Sing Chong Building are among Chinatown San Francisco’s world-renowned attractions. Warriors: 2014-15 NBA Finals Champions
This chant echoed through the Bay Area’s Oracle Arena back at home as Golden State defeated the Cavaliers at the Q in downtown Cleveland on Tuesday, June 16th. Fans far and wide are celebrating the Warriors’ Game 6 win – and, therefore, their 2014-15 NBA Championship – against the mighty Cavs and their all-star player Lebron James. The entire Bay area is, figuratively speaking, holding up the Larry O’Brien Trophy this week.
Just Passing Through: Sculptures and Installations 2015
Just Passing Through: Sculptures and Installations features larger-than-life sculptures and other oversized, breathtaking pieces. Nature, memory, and community are among the various topics visitors will contemplate. This exhibition is truly unique as most of the masterpieces include instructions from the artists: guests are called to climb on, to crawl through, and sometimes even to become a part of the art itself. San Francisco Bay Area’s May Wilson, Llewelynn Fletcher, and Sasha Petrnko – sometimes in collaboration with renowned New York artist Austin Thomas – have fashioned many of the exhibition’s stunning 3D installations.
Game 5: The Warriors are back at Oracle Arena!
Golden State lost their home court advantage in Game 2 and Game 3 but regained it in Game 4, an impressive team effort. The Dubs overcame a career-high 28 points from the Cleveland Cavalier’s Timofey Mozgov while the Golden State Warrior’s baby faced assassin found his groove with 22 points. During the first three games the Cavalier’s Lebron James played like an all-time NBA great, but during the fourth game it became clear that the Cavaliers can’t win unless their MVP is stealing the show.
