Just Passing Through: Sculptures and Installations features larger-than-life sculptures and other oversized, breathtaking pieces. Nature, memory, and community are among the various topics visitors will contemplate. This exhibition is truly unique as most of the masterpieces include instructions from the artists: guests are called to climb on, to crawl through, and sometimes even to become a part of the art itself. San Francisco Bay Area’s May Wilson, Llewelynn Fletcher, and Sasha Petrnko – sometimes in collaboration with renowned New York artist Austin Thomas – have fashioned many of the exhibition’s stunning 3D installations.
The University of San Francisco’s Kalmanovitz Hall Rooftop Sculpture Terrace
Just Passing Through is hosted by the University of San Francisco within their Kalmanovitz Hall Rooftop Sculpture Terrace, one of the area’s most gorgeous outdoor venues. This exhibition through runs through December 11, 2015, but many Californians, along with visitors from around the globe, have been enjoying this experience beneath the spring and summer California sun. Permanent Installations
While you are visiting the grounds, make sure to stroll by the site’s permanent features. The Santa Maria de Ovila Portal, for example, allows guest to wander through a bit of Spanish history by way of Renaissance-era carvings. Additionally, the Romaneque Portal (ca. 1200) leaves guests awestruck as they contemplate the Tree of Knowledge, a treasure from Northern Italy.

The University of San Francisco is a generous host, and they offer driving directions to their visitors.
