California Girl Receives Limo Ride and Quinceañera She Will Never Forget

Berenice Jasso is a young lady from Escalon, California and the daughter of farm workers who thought they might lose their daughter due to kidney problems that confounded doctors. Shortly before she turned 14, her parents learned that Berenice’s kidneys were failing, and doctors could not identify the reason. Within a year of the diagnosis, both of her kidneys were removed, and Berenice lived for four months with frequent trips to a dialysis clinic to stay alive while they waited for a kidney to become available.
