Bay Area Party Bus Rentals
Well, summer is most definitely over in San Francisco, and autumn is here to remind us that time moves forward in an unbreakable stream. It can be hard to retain the inner fire that comes along with longer days and warmer nights as we watch the flowers fade and the deciduous trees change color. Now we begin to search for ways to stay warm, to keep the light alive, and to keep the desolation so present in winter at bay. If you’re like me, than one of the best ways to stave off inner darkness is by moving your body. And there are few better ways to do this than through dancing!
According to many, the American contribution to the world musical scene crests and plateaus with the blues. Although this part of its heritage is often brushed over in favor of gentler stories from its multifaceted past, the blues are easily traced back to songs sung by slaves working under inhumane conditions predominantly in the southern states. These songs also form part of a rich tradition of music sung throughout the numerous regions of Africa, so “the blues” as we know them today are truly a fascinating result of sonic evolution. Today, these songs of loss, love, and despair have won the hearts of people from throughout the globe, and this is evidenced not only by the numerous bands dedicated simply to performing this type of music but also by the numerous festivals held with the blues at their core.
While September means fantastic events and experiences for all of sunny California, when it comes to festivals, San Francisco’s cup runs over (and then some). Take a look at some of the area’s best offerings for 2015.

A party bus is perhaps the ultimate vehicle for concert transportation. With plenty of room, wet bars, mood lighting, stripper poles and many other amenities, there is no better way to get to and from a concert with friends and family. At least that’s what 38 Californians thought when they rented a party bus for a recent Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias concert at the Staples Center. They reserved The Super Sexy Party Bus from a local party bus provider to transport them from Thousand Oaks to downtown Los Angeles and home again so they could all concentrate on having a good time.
"They had what looked like the best party bus on the market," said passenger Bruce Barrios. "It looked like a night club on wheels."
"It had four great neon light-up stripper poles and a disco ball," said passenger Suzie Hayden.
The evening of fun, music and merriment got off to an inauspicious beginning, however, when the party bus arrived two hours late. Making matters worse, the air conditioning on the party bus was not working, and it wasn’t long before the guests were quite uncomfortable in the sweltering heat.
"I thought I was going to die," said passenger Marco Jimenez.
The lateness of the arrival of their party bus also caused the guests to miss a big chunk of the concert, which was already well underway when they arrived at the Staples Center. After the concert, the guests were outraged when they gathered at the predetermined pickup point only to find that their party bus was gone, along with the belongings they had left on board. Their calls to the party bus provider went unanswered, and the group ended up having to take cabs to get back home.
The guests complained to the Public Utilities Commission, which oversees all for-hire ground transportation companies in California and learned that, while the bus and the limousine service that owns the party bus are in compliance with CPUC regulations, the limo service has an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau. That’s not very sexy.
If you’re looking for an ethical, affordable and professional San Francisco party bus provider that is also in full compliance with CPUC regulations but takes much better care of its guests, call us at NLS Limo today at 800-339-8936. We have become the Bay Area’s premier limousine and party bus provider by providing super-clean and comfortable luxury vehicles for our guests at the best rates in the area. Graffiti, a vehicle wrapping and transit media company based in Johannesburg, South Africa, recently struck a deal with a local limousine service to wrap at least one of their limousines with advertising. The ad for Guess Jeans features a picture of a reclining couple in bed, which occupies the middle third of the limo on both sides. Guess logos are positioned on either side of the picture, and the company reports that this is the fourth time they have reworked the branding on this limo. Graffiti has also wrapped 15 school buses with promotional advertising for Guess Kids, which manufactures designer clothing for children.
Graffiti Managing Director John Rice had this to say about the advertising campaign: "The Guess brand and its advertising campaigns really speak for themselves. The style of the creative is distinctive and identifiable and people look out for their advertising. The Guess brand is exclusive, international and aspirational and therefore perfectly suits the glamour and prestige of a limousine. Similarly, the school bus advertising medium provides an excellent strategic opportunity with which to promote Guess Kids. As a result you have a very powerful and effective transit campaign."
We understand the need for limousine services to create revenue streams whenever possible, especially in hyper-competitive markets. The San Francisco limousine market is especially competitive, and we are always on the lookout for new sources of income. However, don’t look for us to wrap our Bay Area limos, party buses, SUV limos and other luxury vehicles with advertising now or in the future.
We believe that happy guests are the appropriate complement to the glamour and prestige of a limousine, not advertising. No matter how tastefully photographed or sexy the images may be, we believe that billboard advertising belongs on billboards, not sullying the classic looks of our limos. If you’re looking for a San Francisco limousine service that believes that providing outstanding customer service is the best way to generate revenue, give us a call at NLS Limo at 800-339-8936 the next time you need luxury transportation for a special event!
The latest piece of precision German engineering from the craftsmen at Audi features some surprises but is a fine example of contemporary automotive comfort and design. The new Audi A8 4.2-litre V8 TDI is simply a beautiful car that also happens to be a luxury limousine. The A8’s first surprise is under the hood, where an 8-cylinder diesel engine purrs until the driver gooses the accelerator. The turbo diesel motor responds with a fluid burst of acceleration but remains quiet and well-mannered despite the impressive performance of zero to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. All that energy is managed by a silky-smooth 8-speed automatic transmission and a finely-tuned suspension that grips the road and holds corners at speed remarkably well for a limousine. Prices for the new A8 begin at a modest $238,500, but there is nothing modest about this limousine.
Moving inside, passengers are treated to an uncommon stillness while on the road. Test drivers commented on the eerie sense of quiet throughout the cabin even when deliberately trying to make the engine roar. Luxury car aficionados say that this new Audi offers the kind of luxuriant silence not often found in cars costing much more. It seems that Audi has positioned the A8 to make a very big impact in this niche of the luxury car market, and, if early indications are correct, they have accomplished their mission.
The A8 is no slouch when it comes to technology, either. The A8 features a state-of-the-art in-car information/navigation/entertainment system that includes the Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System, a touchpad with handwriting recognition, wireless access for iPads, iPhones and Android devices, an automotive interface that provides data about fuel consumption, drive train performance and much more.
Designers chose to use aluminum as often as possible for fenders, door panels and other exterior features in order to keep weight down and performance high. Safety equipment includes a pre-sense system that provides nighttime avoidance assistance by recognizing objects in the roadway, night vision amplification, adaptive cruise control and many other features.
Many of our staffers are already begging us to add an Audi A8 limo to our fleet of San Francisco limousines, and we are certainly enticed by the idea of adding a limo this beautiful to our collection. If and when we do add one, it will be our pleasure to pass this information along to our readers for sure. Until then, we still have the Bay Area’s best selection of stretch limousines, SUV limos, party buses and other luxury transportation options. For more information about rates and availability, just give us at NLS Limo a call today at 800-339-8936!
One of the more interesting developments during this year’s presidential campaign is the news that President Obama stocks homemade beer to enjoy on the campaign trail. Given the extraordinary security measures and amenities inside the president’s campaign bus, you couldn’t call it a party bus. Yet, we were pleasantly surprised to learn of his fondness for homebrews. During a recent stop at a coffee shop in Knoxville, Iowa, Mr. Obama chatted with a man, and when the conversation drifted to beer, the man was very pleasantly surprised with the president and offered him a cold one from his private supply.
When the press corps learned about the president’s offer, they asked White House spokesman Jay Carney a flurry of questions about what kind of beers were available. Carney reported that White House brew masters brew light and dark beers for the president and confessed that he had tried the lighter beer and found that “it is superb.”
The Obamas served their White House Honey Ale, made with honey from the first lady’s hives in the White House garden, at last year’s Super Bowl party. Insiders say that the president also served White House Honey Ale last September to Medal of Honor recipient Marine Sergeant Dakota Meyer, who had requested to have a beer with his Commander in Chief. Presidents Washington and Jefferson also made their own brews, but Mr. Obama is believed to be the first president to brew at the White House.
Here at NLS Limo, we like a well crafted beer as well. Are you getting married soon or have you been tasked with organizing a friend’s bachelor party? In either case, you’re going to have to do some homework to ensure that you and your guests have a great time on this momentous occasion. Because we are in the bachelor party limo business, we thought we would pass along some party tips to help make your party safe, fun and very memorable. To that end, here are some tips to help make planning your San Francisco bachelor party limo experience easy:
- Make your reservation as early as practical
We understand that bachelor parties can be spontaneous affairs, but in order to get the best selection, reserve your transportation as early as practical. This will also allow us plenty of time to accommodate any requests to customize your bachelor party experience.
- Reserve the right type of transportation
Some bachelor party guests are traditionalists, and only a stretch limousine will do. Others who prefer a bit more headroom and legroom like our party buses or SUV limos. Some of our party bus models also happen to feature stripper poles, a useful item for many bachelor parties.
- Add a sporting event
Make a full day of it by taking in a baseball, football, hockey or basketball game. It’s your job to make the groom’s last days as a bachelor extra special, and enjoying a game together is sure to create memories that last a lifetime.
- Start the evening off with a good dinner
After the game, head to a favorite restaurant or someone’s back yard for a barbecue. Everyone loves great food, and it’s a very good idea to eat a good dinner before enjoying an adult beverage or three.
- Have fun, but be safe
We want our guests to have a great time, but we also want everyone to get home safely without any complications. We know that it is very easy for bachelor party participants to lose track of their alcohol consumption and get a bit more festive than they had planned. Look out for yourself and each other so that everyone has a good time.
That’s a short list of bachelor party limo rental tips, but we think we covered some very good points. When you’re ready to reserve your Bay Area limousine, party bus, SUV limo or other bachelor party transportation, just give us a call at NLS Limo at 800-339-8936. We’ll take care of the rest!
California Assemblyman Jerry Hill recently renewed his call for tough laws against party buses after a young woman fell from a party bus and was killed in a tragic accident near Santa Cruz. The 25-year-old victim was reportedly fighting with another woman on board the bus when their struggles opened a door, causing the victim to fall onto Highway 17, where she was struck and killed. Calling party buses “booze cruises,” Hill asked fellow lawmakers to pass AB 45, the bill he introduced 18 months ago. If passed, the bill would close a loophole in an existing law, which holds chauffeurs responsible for underage drinking in limousines but has no provisions for drivers of party buses.
“The problem is, and the sad part is, that there are those operators who are just in it for a quick buck,” Hill says. “And they will take anybody on a ride and charge them what they can and allow them to do what they want without the responsibility of what can occur.”
Hill claims that if legislators had passed his bill when it was introduced, the tragic death of the Santa Cruz woman could have been avoided. The bill has already been passed in the California Assembly and is under review in the Senate. If passed, the law would subject chauffeurs that allow underage drinking to be fined up to $2,000 for each infraction, with the possibility of losing their driver’s licenses.
Whether this law is passed or not, it won’t change our policy on underage drinking or our approach to guest safety. We have stated many times that a very small minority of Bay Area party bus rental companies are responsible for the vast majority of incidences of drunken and rowdy behavior outside clubs and other locations. We work with other San Francisco party bus services to promote responsible guest policies and keep our guests’ party bus experiences fun and safe. Guest safety is our first priority at all times, and we explain our rules to guests before each rental. If you want to have a memorable San Francisco party bus experience that is safe, fun and affordable, please call us today at NLS Limo at 800-339-8936 to make a reservation for your special occasion.
