28th Annual Passport to Dry Creek Valley

Coming to Sonoma County in late April is one of the most anticipated wine events of the year: the 28th annual Passport to Dry Creek Valley.  Hailed in publications such as Forbes, Wine Spectator, and ZAGAT, the Passport to Dry Creek Valley is a weekend of newly released wines, delicious food, and connoisseurs from around the world gathering to taste them.

Over 45 vineyards will participate in the Passport weekend, which encompasses both April 29th and the 30th.  Included in the price of admission are numerous events, such as:

  • Winemaker dinners and luncheons where you will have the chance to speak with the master vintners and swap knowledge with some of the most respected palates in the Sonoma area.

  • Unique food offerings from some of the County’s most sought after chefs.

  • Vintages that will be unavailable for tasting anywhere else in the world.

  • Tours and tastings in vineyards that are world-renowned for their physical beauty.

The Passport to Dry Creek Valley is a rare opportunity for wine enthusiasts to truly dive deep into the art of winemaking.  Rarely do people have such a chance to meet face-to-face with the people and places behind what many consider to be the best wines in the world. From the farm-to-table excellence of the DaVero Farms and Winery to the relatively new addition of Comstock Wines, you will travel among an elite sphere of winemakers in a series of rapturous settings.

Some of the exclusive lunch and dinner offerings for the weekend include:

  • A Mardi Gras themed menu at Michel-Schlumberger to pair with their wine offerings.

  • Private dinner at Flanagan Winery prepared by Jeff and Susan Mall, one of most respected restauranteur couples in Sonoma County.

  • Lunch at the Truett-Hurst Winery where guests will have the chance to sample some of the 2016 wines directly from the barrel, before many of them have even been bottled.

  • Estate-grown wines at Trattore Farms served in tandem with a deliciously prepared meal that highlights the estate prepared extra virgin olive oils.
