This year, the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival is celebrating 48 years as one of California’s most prominent celebrations of Asian tradition. Visitors can learn about Japanese culture and the Japanese American Community at the festival, which spans two weekends, April 11-12 and April 18-19.

The Treasure Island Flea is back once again for two days of unbelievable fun, food, and antics. Each August, the verdant meadows and tranquil grounds of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park come alive with great food, beer and wine and multiple stages featuring some of the best touring bands in the country. The Outside Lands Festival takes its name from the part of then-unincorporated San Francisco that now comprises Golden Gate Park and the Sunset and Richmond districts of the city. Locals referred to the area as the “outside lands,” as it was regarded as an uninhabitable part of town with sand dunes, few roads and no infrastructure.

26th Annual Autumn Moon Festival
You know a festival is going to be a good time when it is an incarnation of an event that has been going on for more than a millennium. Such is the case with the Autumn Moon Festival which will take place in Chinatown over the course of this upcoming weekend. Although the tradition of celebrating the moon and the Moon Goddess is a thousand years old, this is officially the 26th Annual Autumn Moon Festival. The festival will occur in the heart of San Francisco’s Chinatown, with more than one stage, several parades, and scores of vendors.
