Although the Bay Area temperatures may not feel that way at the moment, springtime will quickly be upon us here in San Francisco…with wedding season fast on its heels. Prom: San Francisco & The Greater Bay Area
Prom. It isn’t only a big moment for your son or daughter. It’s a milestone for you, as parents, as well. Whether your teenager is a junior or a senior, talk of the big dance is abuzz in the Bay Area. Students from Menlo School, Galileo High School, The Branson School, Lowell High School, and other grade-9-through-12 schools in Northern California are renting tuxedos, purchasing gowns, and, of course, working up the courage to ask that special someone to the night of their young lives. Nationwide Limousine Service would be honored to play an important role in creating the perfect prom memories.
Three Wedding Venues for Nature Lovers in the Bay Area
For an event that (hopefully) only comes once in a lifetime, it’s important to pick the perfect venue, and in an area as beautiful as Northern California, that choice isn’t always easy – especially when it comes to outdoor venues. Rolling vineyards, towering redwood trees, white sand beaches, and sweeping landscapes make the Bay Area an arcade for unforgettable outdoor event venues. To help you narrow it down, here are three of our favorites.
Getting Around the San Francisco International Airport
San Francisco International Airport is a 10 mile drive from downtown, located near San Bruno and Millbrae. It is one of the busiest airports in America, and offers several international flights to Europe and Asia. Its abbreviation is SFO, and it has four runways, the longest being almost 12,000 feet. There are four terminals, 1, 2, 3, and International, along with a total of seven concourses that are in a large circle and range from A-G.
Visit San Francisco’s de Young Museum for Art’s Sake!
Ars gratia artis. L’art grace a l’art. Art for art’s sake. No matter what your first language may be, this enduring quotation captures the elusive nature and (somewhat) unquantifiable value of art in our lives very well. If you love artistic expression in some or all of its forms, it’s likely that you already know about the de Young, as it is one of the best art museums in the world and one of the most visited. Located in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, the de Young is one of several San Francisco art museums that draw and delight visitors from all over the world each year.
Proms Offer Alternatives to Party Buses
Prom organizers at Tracy High School have seen attendance drop sharply in recent years as many students are renting party buses instead of going to prom. While party buses may be the ultimate in prom transportation, a surprising number of kids are choosing to organize their own prom nights in smaller groups. Tracy High School activities director Alayna Carter says that some kids think that renting a party bus is a more fun and exciting option than an evening of dinner and dancing at Tracy’s Portuguese Hall.
“The kids just aren’t showing up any more,” she said recently. “They… take the party bus to San Francisco, walk around, eat wherever and drive back to someone’s house. They weren’t going to the dance, because they figured it’s just in Tracy, when they can go and do stuff out of town.”

Costs of Attending Prom Rising but not the Cost of Our Bay Area Prom Limousines!
A recent survey conducted by credit card giant Visa found that the average cost of going to prom is now more than $1,078. High school proms are certainly some of the high points of a young person’s life, but Visa’s survey found that kids and parents are spending increasingly larger sums of money for clothing, shoes, dinner, tickets, pictures, salon services, limo rentals and other costs.
