RSSFed Agency Makes It Easier to File Complaints About Motor Coach Safety

The FMCSA has redesigned their National Consumer Complaint Database to make it easier for people to file safety complaints about motor coach companies and drivers. The database now features a more user-friendly interface that allows concerned citizens to provide more detailed complaints about unsafe drivers and operators. Part of the revamped site is a new smartphone application called SaferBus, which provides fast and easy access for anyone with a web-enabled phone.
Department of Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood recently announced the redesign during a press conference. He said, “This new app gives Americans the information they need to make smart safety decisions when they book their next bus trip. As college students, families and tour groups start thinking about spring and summer travel, we encourage everyone to use the SaferBus app to look before you book your next bus trip.”
SaferBus allows users to access the safety records of more than 6,000 interstate commercial passenger carriers operating across the country. The searchable database also allows users to view safety records for privately-operated motor coach operators that provide school buses and tour buses.
