Chauffeur Kicks 20 Guests Out of Limo After Assault

By San Francisco Limousine Specialist on August 8, 2011

A Chauffeur transporting 20 unruly guests in a Hummer limo in Seattle kicked all his guests out of the vehicle and left them on the side of the road after a fight broke out in the limo. The guests had been drinking heavily, and the chauffeur had asked them repeatedly to behave when some guests began fighting. The chauffeur then ordered his guests out of the limousine and drove away. State troopers arrived soon after and found the inebriated guests gathered by the side of the street with one man bleeding profusely. The troopers began interviewing the stranded guests and rendered assistance to the injured man.

“Unfortunately, having to deal with very intoxicated people, you have to repeat yourself several times,” said Trooper Sean Carr, “and unfortunately, use kid-gloves with them and tell them what you need them to do and explain it to them again and again and again.”

Paramedics took the injured man to a nearby hospital and ordered the chauffeur to come back and pick up his guests. Despite the assault, troopers said they expected no charges to be filed in connection with the incident.

From our perspective, this is the absolute worst-case scenario. The chauffeur never should have abandoned his guests. He should have returned them to the original pickup location despite the altercation. His primary responsibility is the safety of his guests, and ordering them out of the limo and leaving them by the side of the road is unacceptable.

We want our guests to have fun and enjoy themselves while riding in our San Francisco limousines, party buses and other luxury vehicles. After all, we’re in the hospitality business, and we go to great lengths to ensure that everyone has a wonderful time. Once in a great while, we have a guest that has had a bit too much to drink and behaves inappropriately. It is our policy to politely request that the guest relax and enjoy him or herself. If the guest continues to misbehave and/or endanger the other guests, the contract is terminated, and everyone is returned to the original pickup location.

This seldom happens, and we proactively inform our guests ahead of time about what we have to do if things get out of hand. Our first priority is and always will be the safety of our guests, and we have strict protocols in place to ensure their safety. If you’re thinking of renting a Bay Area limo or party bus and prefer to do business with a locally owned business that takes their responsibilities seriously, call NLS Limo today at 1-800-339-8936. Our rates are very affordable, our customer service sets the standard for the industry and no other San Francisco limo service has a wider selection of luxury vehicles. Call us today!
