New Year’s Eve Events in the Bay Area
By now, everywhere that isn’t doused in colorful lights and tinsel is sporting some sort of red bow or pine bough. Presents are being wrapped in green and red paper, and the streets of San Francisco look like Santa’s hometown. So, after the presents are opened and the eggnog guzzled down, what are you thinking about? New Year’s, of course!
For those of us not quite in the position to host a Gatsby-style party of our own, the Bay Area is the gracious host to quite a few bombastic soirées that you can bring your date—or whomever you want—to and seem like sultan of suave. Because the list is massive, we can only include a small handful of options here, but these should give you a good place to begin. Feel free to pick just one, or jump around and get a taste of several. Either way, you can usher in 2015 surrounded by life and joie de vivre.
Mr. Smiths
With free champagne to the first 100 guests, Mr. Smiths starts off on an already strong foot. Then they throw in an eclectic DJ set that mashes hip-hip, EDM, and top 40, three different levels of partying options (ranging from the intimate lounge to the pumping basement dance floor), and the free midnight pizza and you’ve got yourself a homerun of a New Years. Purchasing advance tickets is always a good idea, and then prepare to celebrate in extreme style.
New Year’s Eve Ball at The Russian Center of San Francisco
This ball takes a more classical and classy approach to the holiday, and is a formal-attire affair that promises to deliver plenty of dancing, a buffet, and the requisite champagne toast as the New Year comes ringing in. For those who wish to attend but feel weighed down by children, the Russian Center features $10 an hour babysitting, but they insist that you make advance reservations.
Dalva
The $100 admission price might seem steeper than hoped for, but when you consider that this includes beer, wine, craft cocktails, and liquor up to the Maker’s Mark tier the deal doesn’t seem to sour at all. They also have plenty of dancing, and they are also limiting their space so that you aren’t forced to climb over bodies to get to the dance floor or bar. Although they prefer semi-formal dress, they’ll accept you no matter what.
Peña Pachamama
The priciest of the bunch, but also perhaps the most unforgettable, New Years as Peña Pachamama will surround your senses with the Latin music of Eddy Navia, the house band, and hordes of other Latin, Cuban, and Samba musicians. Tickets to Peña Pacahama’s New Years will get you a three course organic meal, free champagne, and all the dancing you can stand.
We still have plenty of beautiful vehicles available for New Year’s Eve, (including a hot tub limousine, multiple party buses and vans, and classic cars), but slots are filling up fast! So don’t hesitate, and call NLS Limo today at 800-339-8936!
