Free Comedy Day in the Park
Comedy returns to San Francisco’s Sharon Meadow in a big way this weekend as the 2016 Comedy Day in the Park gears up for its annual summer festival of big laughs, big names, and big surprises. Widely considered to be the largest one-day-only comedy event in the Bay Area, Comedy Day in the Park features five consecutive hours of comedy with over 40 different comedians performing on one stage. This means that you can pack a blanket, a lunch, and whatever else you need to have a great time and set yourself up for a long and beautiful day of laughs and fun.
While the official lineup has yet to be determined, and while there are always additional comedians that might find there way into the mix, this year’s lineup is already dazzling and features such nationally renowned performers as:
-
Emily Epstein White
-
Loren Kraut
-
Jill Maragos
-
Jason Rogers
-
Fred Reiss
-
Amy Miller
-
Andy Ericsson
-
Lenard “The Kyd” Jackson
-
Felicia Michaels
-
Natasha Muse
-
Kabir “Kabeezy” Singh
-
Lank & Earl
-
Mickey Joseph
-
Carrie Snow
-
Dr. Gonzo
-
Will Durst
-
Kevin Meaney
These names will take part in a much longer roster of contemporary comedy stars, and, as usual, there will be some surprise guests in the mix. Past years have seen the unannounced arrival of comedy mega-celebrities like Dave Chappelle, Whoopi Goldberg, Patton Oswalt, Ellen DeGeneres, Kids in the Hall, and numerous others who you won’t get another chance to see in a venue like this for the unbeatable price of ZERO dollars.
The Comedy Day in the Park is a great way to gather your friends together for a stress-free afternoon of humor. It is 100% guaranteed to create lasting memories, which is why we go to events like this in the first place, right? The day kicks off at 12:00pm, but be sure to arrive early to get a great spot on the lawn near to the stage. The day goes until 5:00pm, when the last comic will wrap up their set and send everyone home to recover what will have been a nearly traumatic dose of hilarity. See you there!
