California’s WorldFest 2015

By San Francisco Limousine Specialist on July 1, 2015

This year will mark California’s The Center For The Art’s 19th WorldFest. From July 16th through the 19th at the Nevada County Fairgrounds – Grass Valley, guests will find eight stages brimming with live music. Performers from around the world will include roots-meets-electronica Beats Antique musicians, Appalachia-inspired child prodigy EmiSunshine, Mexico’s Afro-Caribbean playing Las Cafeteras, South Korean born Saritah, North California’s own London Jax, and dozens more. Additional details about the line-up are available online.

The eight varied stages are among the highlights of the event. The Pine Tree stage, for example, includes grassy seating, an area for dancing, and misters, and the Discovery Stage is a comfortable indoor venue with air conditioning. The vast festival is truly something to behold.

Internationally Inspired Music, Refreshments, Shopping & More

Music is only one aspect of WorldFest. Shoppers enjoy the World Market, which features a variety of goods and services ranging from Saraba African Arts to Eco Whimsies, Synergy Organic Clothing to Henna Trails, and more.

The refreshments draw a variety of visitors, as well. Chico Chai serves fair trade tea, and Horn of the Bull Taqueria offers homemade tamales and other fine Mexican cuisines, to name only a couple of the internationally inspired food vendors. Organic buckwheat crepes, chipotle kettle corn, and Salmon sankofa dinners are among festivalgoers’ favorites.

Meanwhile, kids and teenagers can enjoy a variety of activities including workshops, arts & crafts, and games. Youth workshops might feature juggling lessons or magic tricks, for example. Moreover, kids of all ages – including adults! – enjoy the drumming sounds and colorful dances of the WorldFest Parade.

Musical workshops include classical guitar, Americana 101, steel drums, and more. Dance lessons will be taught in the styles of belly, salsa, swing, and others. Additional lessons such as yoga and tai chi are highly attended, as well.

WorldFest Transportation

Guests are invited to camp at the grounds, and advanced ticket sales are available until July 15th. These types of accommodations, however, aren’t for everyone. If you’re planning a day-trip or an evening at the festival, we hope you’ll let us take you. Nationwide Limousine Service is a locally owned and operated luxury transportation company – offering limo services, classic car rentals, VIP tour buses, and much more – and we’d love to take you to and from WorldFest, a time-honored Bay Area tradition.
