Bar 5 at Coqueta

On Pier 5, this restaurant has some of the best views on San Francisco’s Bay side. For dinner you’ll need reservations, but you can always snag a seat at the bar for specialty cocktails or one of their signature gin and tonic mixes, and fantastic views over the water. While you’re there, grab a bite to eat. Chef Michael Chiarello has been nominated for a James Beard Award for his Spanish inspired dishes.

Waterbar

For seafood and sunset views, there’s no better place than Waterbar. The Bay Lights twinkle beautifully in front of you at night, and the water shines blue on summer afternoons. There’s a huge selection of oysters and other seafood, and a large cocktail list as well.

Park Chalet

This gorgeous glass-ceiling bar has some of the best views in the city. The entire bar overlooks Golden Gate Park, so there’s not a bad seat in the house. Park Chalet also has its own brew master, which means there are eight house-made beers on tap at all times, as well as additional local brews. Get the sampler set and relax as you gaze across the sunny hues of Golden Gate Park.

The View

As the name suggests, The View is all about, well, the view. Take in panoramic sunset views of San Francisco’s skyline while sipping cocktails. Located in the Marriot, this place is great for tourists staying at the hotel, but also popular with locals who want to gaze on their city from a new angle.
