History of Concord, California

Concord, California started out, like many of the other towns and cities around the San Francisco Bay Area, by being inhabited by a Native American tribe. The Miwok Tribe that inhabited the area was there until the 18th century, when the Spanish settlers came to the area. It was not settled until 1834, when the land was named Todos Santos. Eventually the town became more populated after the nearby Pacheco was devastated by fire and flood in the late 19th century.

Today, Concord is a residential community with a population of approximately 120,000 people. This water park is made up of 25 different rides that are spread out over seven different complexes. While it is locally known as Six Flags Waterworld Concord, it is also currently known as Waterworld California. There are several different kinds of water rides including long slides, half pipes, lazy rivers, and wave pools. As with most amusement parks, there are rides available for children only and some for adults so that everyone can enjoy the recreational areas. Sleep Train Pavilion

One of the major venues within Concord, CA is the Sleep Train Pavilion. This arena, which seats 12,500 people, has been the venue for many famous performers as well as the home to local events like jazz festivals and high school graduations. This pavilion was first opened in 1975 under the name of the Chronicle Pavilion and eventually Concord Pavilion until the name change of Sleep Train Pavilion in 2000. Some of the most famous people to perform in the Sleep Train Pavilion include Bing Crosby, Fleetwood Mac, Chicago, No Doubt, Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, and Bob Dylan.

Markham Regional Arboretum

Those who want to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings of Concord, CA should consider visiting the Markham Regional Arboretum. This arboretum is a collection of trees that is still in progress, with most of the area still the natural land that was set aside for the Markham Regional Arboretum. It was founded in 1981 after the land was sold to the city of Concord in 1966 with the condition that it be kept in the natural state. It’s a beautiful area to explore and enjoy for a few hours or an entire day.
