San Francisco International Beer Festival

By San Francisco Limousine Specialist on March 23, 2017

BEER.

Although it has been a staple of various civilizations for hundreds (may we even say thousands?) of years, only recently has the world seen an explosion of interest in beer. This interest crosses boundaries of cultures, classes, genders, religions, and almost every other divide created by humans to segregate ourselves from one another.  Simply put, beer unites us in a common love.  What better place, therefore, than San Francisco, one of the most notoriously love-filled cities in the world, to celebrate beer?  This April 8th, from 7:00pm until 10:00pm, the Fort Mason Center’s Festival Pavilion will be the location of the San Francisco International Beer Festival, a can’t-miss event that will draw on breweries from around the world to offer you a one-of-a-kind beer tasting experience.

The San Francisco International Beer Festival has been a popular event ever since its inception in 1984, making it the longest running beer festival on the entire western coast of the U.S.A.  This year, in order to keep up the stellar reputation the festival has developed throughout its 32-year existence, they have drafted an all-star lineup of micro-breweries. You will not want to miss the chance to experience, all in the same room, specialty beers from:

  • Black Cat Brewery
  • Feather Falls Brewing Company
  • Dogfish Head
  • Laughing Monk Brewing
  • Alaskan Brewing Company
  • Mendocino Brewing Company
  • ROGUE
  • Lost Coast Brewery
  • Chang
  • Lagunitas Brewing Company
  • Many, many, many more

Lest you wonder how you could spend four hours just tasting beer, attendees of the San Francisco International Beer Festival will also have the chance to compete in the the Cornhole Championship.  The tournament is organized by West Coast Cornhole and will bestow enviable prizes on those who can best toss those bean-filled bags.

Additionally, you can feel good knowing that a portion of all money raised at the festival will be donated to the Telegraph Hill Cooperative Nursery School.  It’s a beautiful thing that this event has been able to continually raise almost 90% of the money needed to run the school, which ensures that children are able to receive an quality education at an affordable cost in an increasingly unaffordable city.
