Cowell Theater
For a thought-provoking look into the world of a boy with autism, be sure to check out Max Understood in Cowell Theater. This new musical follows the life of Max, an autistic 7 year old, and his parents who struggle to take care of him and each other simultaneously. Embark on a grand adventure of discovery and understanding as Max breaks free from the safety of his home and ventures out to take on the neighborhood with the help of an unlikely benefactor. The show runs from April 15th through 26th and includes the free “Sound Maze for Max” featuring 10 newly invented instruments designed for all ages in an interactive and hands on presentation.
Michael Smith-Heimer Photography
Photography fans can’t miss this showing titled “Slices of Life, California” by Michael Smith-Heimer. With over four decades of photography experience, Smith-Heimer astounds with large-format images capturing the beauty and wonder of California in panoramic compilations of photos. Smith-Heimer uses a complicated process of editing and blending his photos to produce extremely high resolution pictures hand-stretched on wooden stretcher frames. His work is viewable until April 30th 2015 all day and is free to the public in the Main Office of building A in the Center.
2015 San Francisco Vintners Market
The spring 2015 San Francisco Vintners Market is sure to bring out the wine connoisseur in all of us April 11th and 12th. This wine tasting brings buyers from all over to sample wines and has the added feature of enabling tasters to buy on the spot. The tasting features wines from over 200 wineries offering the best from all over California and around the world. This is a first-of-its-kind event and is sure to satisfy any and all with the added benefit of buying the wines you love as soon as you taste them. The tasting will be two days only from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Festival Pavilion.
