10th Annual Renegade Craft Fair Market at the Fort Mason Pavilion

In keeping with our last post, we are going to continue highlighting festivals in the Bay Area that primarily feature art and crafts by local vendors instead of exploring any specific culture or unique traditions (although, one could argue that, rather than ignoring the wealth of cultural traditions and experiences permitting San Francisco, these art fairs instead offer a moment for every one of these traditions to sing together in a beautiful chorus of multiculturalism). Today, we turn our attention to another art festival happening this weekend.

From July 15th to July 16th, the Fort Mason Pavilion is going to be home to the Renegade Craft Fair Market, a convergence of more than 300 artists from both local and national scenes. A wholly immersive experience, the Renegade Craft Fair Market will also include plenty of food and drink vendors so you can spend the entire weekend at the pavilion without worrying about wasting away from hunger or thirst.

The Renegade Craft Fair Market is a national affair, and every year they host numerous events throughout the country. The San Francisco version of the Renegade Craft Fair Market is only the second one of the year, and includes (as well as the aforementioned 300+ artists and vendors):

• DIY events and workshops where you can craft some personal art of your own.
• Items from vintage markets at unbeatable prices.
• DJs spinning a wide variety of tunes throughout the weekend, keeping the vibe upbeat and playful.
• Plenty of picture opportunities as the festival and its grounds will offer visitors unbeatable views of San Francisco, the bay, and all the beautiful humanity out to support art and creativity.

This is officially the 10th year that the Renegade Craft Fair Market is calling San Francisco one of its many homes, meaning that this is simultaneously a young and fresh institution and a much loved event that has carved out a unique space for itself during the past decade.
