Rolls-Royce Announces Special Ghost Extended Wheelbase Model

There’s nothing like driving or riding in a Rolls, and we’re very excited to hear that the respected automaker has announced a new version of their wonderful Ghost model. Rolls is calling their new ultra-luxury saloon the Ghost Extended Wheelbase. The new model is designed specifically for those who require extra legroom in a luxury limousine. Since the automaker announced the longer version of their lovely Ghost model back in 2009, demand has skyrocketed, and the automaker has scrambled to fill orders without compromising its reputation for quality and craftsmanship.

The Extended Ghost is available in very limited numbers in 2011, and full production is not slated to begin until sometime in 2012. The extended wheelbase version adds 170 millimeters to the standard Ghost, and virtually all that extra space has been added to the limousine’s already spacious and luxurious passenger compartment. Since the very beginning, Rolls has had a sharp eye for design and detail, and the Ghost Extended Wheelbase is no exception. The extra space enhances the clean lines and shapely contours of this beautiful limo.

The extra space also allows Rolls to install a panoramic sunroof in the new models, allowing an uncommon amount of natural light into the cabin for reading, ambiance and to flatter the limo’s tastefully appointed interior. The new Ghost is powered by the Rolls-Royce 6.6-liter twin turbocharged V12 engine, which produces an effortless 563hp and 780Nm of torque at just 1,500rpm. Instead of roaring while getting to cruising speed, the motor whispers yet delivers superb performance at all speeds. Adding to the comfort is a state-of-the-art 4-corner air suspension that delivers a luxurious ride without sacrificing road manners, stability or performance.
