RSSCarjacker Steals Wedding Limo Taking Bridesmaids to Ceremony
A limousine carrying five bridesmaids to a wedding in Boston was carjacked recently, making a most unusual wedding story for the happy couple. The bridesmaids were riding in the back when the carjacker broke one of the limo’s windows, got into the front and threatened the chauffeur, causing the bridesmaids to flee from the vehicle. They ran to nearby Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta Church and arrived seconds before the ceremony was to begin.
Investigating police officials said the carjacker had attempted to steal a mail truck minutes before the limo break-in, but was unsuccessful. He then saw the idling limousine, broke a window and assaulted the chauffeur. A nearby bus driver who witnessed the incident after dropping off dozens of wedding guests said, “He started fighting with the driver, and the girls got out and ran. It was chaos. Right out from under the wedding party! What a way to get married.”
Another witness, a driver waiting at a stoplight, saw the carjacker break into the limo. He said, “I saw the driver’s side open, and the driver struggling half in and half out. He started yelling, ‘Help me! Somebody help me!’”
The chauffeur was unhurt in the assault and fled from the scene as the thief drove the limo an undisclosed distance before abandoning it by the side of a road. The bridesmaids did not tell the happy couple about the incident until after the ceremony in order to not spoil this special event. However, they were forced to tell their story after the couple emerged from the ceremony and saw the area in front of the church cordoned off with yellow police tape. The limousine service provided another limo to transport the bridesmaids to the reception.
We hear a lot of wedding limo horror stories, but most of them involve unprofessional limo companies that fail to appear when promised and then put the wedding party in a terrible position.
