Rolls-Royce Launches New Program for Pre-Owned Rolls Luxury Automobiles
After struggling to find a way to entice buyers of pre-owned Rolls-Royce automobiles and address their concerns about each vehicle’s provenance, the venerable luxury carmaker has finally found a solution. To certify ownership and allay the fears of prospective buyers, Rolls has set up a program called, fittingly, Provenance that will provide quality control and extended warranty coverage for most models. The company had deliberately avoided meddling in the secondary Rolls-Royce market out of concern about the negative connotations of the terms “pre-owned” or “used car.” However, after reviewing the idea and hearing from customers, they reconsidered their position and now call Provenance their “approved programme for pre-owned cars.”

CPUC Issues Report on Limousine Companies
The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), the state agency that oversees limousine services and other for-hire transportation companies, recently released its summary of enforcement actions against ground transportation companies for the first quarter of 2011. The CPUC enforces regulations, issues licenses and oversees around 5,000 limousine services in our state, including NLS Limo, the premier San Francisco limousine service.
Soccer Fans Trash Party Bus After Match
A group of fans from a rival team attacked a party bus transporting a group of English soccer fans recently after an important tournament. The party bus was carrying a group of fans of the Manchester City soccer club after their FA Cup semifinal match with archrival Manchester United when it needed to stop for gas. While the driver was filling up the tank, a rowdy group of United fans surrounded the vehicle and began throwing bottles of antifreeze from an outside display nearby. They then began kicking the party bus, smashing the windshield and kicking in the side panels where luggage is often stored.
Nevada Considering Bills to Make Driverless Cars Legal
Here’s a story that caught our eye. It may not pertain to luxury vehicles, but, as unapologetic car nuts, we thought it was worthy of mention. We also think it’s worthy of condemnation! Reports out of Nevada claim that search engine giant Google has hired a lobbyist to press Nevada lawmakers to pass two bills currently under review. If passed, they would make Nevada the first place on the planet where driverless cars are legal.
Underage Drinking on Party Bus Yields Nearly 100 Arrests
Officers from the Clovis Police Department are investigating more than 100 Buchanan High School students for underage drinking after receiving a call from a bus driver who reported seeing dozens of drunken students hanging around an intersection. Police received the call around midnight on the morning of May 1. When they responded, they found the intoxicated students hanging around outside an In-N-Out Burger restaurant. Officers said the students had smuggled alcohol onto two party buses that had transported the groups to their prom at local hotspot Holland Park West.

Georgia Officials Protecting Prom Goers From Illegal Limo Operators
