The area that would eventually be known as Dublin was first settled and built upon in 1822. Jose Maria Amador was given the land originally and built everything that he would need to turn the area into a ranch. Thirty years later, Michael Murray and Jeremiah Fallon came to the area from Ireland and bought a thousand acres of land from Amador to build homes for their families. From that point on, the city began to grow, eventually taking on the name of Dublin. In 1982, Dublin, CA became incorporated and is now the residential area that has been growing for 20 years.
